A visit to Kuggören - 12 July 2016

After a quiet night the SXK buoy in Kuggören, we made it ashore and discovered a very nice spot! Rough life for the locals, living on a field of marine rocks, from fishing.

Nowadays, it is a "Naturreserverat"...

The chapel on the island is open any time, as the key is hanged on the upper right corner of the door. We took shelter there from a good shower passing around.

As in may places in Sweden, one can find a prehistoric labyrinth in the island. Funnily, it has the same shape as the one we found in Öja.

Belisama and Flocon de mer alongside on the Swedish cruising association in Kuggören.

We bought fresh and smoked fish in a local fisherman stall. Open access, nobody there. Just do not forget to put the money in the box for what you take before leaving. Interesting concept!

As this is a fisherman station, the houses are built over the water and the garage accommodates the boat used for fishing.

Another feature of Kuggören is the disposition of the toilets on the island. They are all separated from the households by a significant distance.
