Yesterday, the forecast was indicating a good window for passing through the Four and Raz-de-Sein on Wednesday morning. But today, the Arome model, which is probably the best close range forecast model is indicating up to 20 m/s (40 knots/Beaufort 9) South of the Raz-de-Sein around tomorrow noon, which is clearly prohibitive of any attempt to go through.
So we had another day waiting in Aber-Wrac'h...
The weather was as below and we could feel it. As the storm came, we doubled the mooring lines and moved all fenders to the pier side.
So, we started the day late morning, went fetching a couple dozen oysters, enjoyed them at lunch, and got to the west beaches, sure that some sailors would love these wind conditions. And we got what we were aiming at!
Sailing such winds on a kite surf requires experience and... helmet, obviously. Quite a few kite surfers were killed when landing on rocks.
Ravi de voir Belisama sous voiles
