Hållö - Koster, 16 July

We are now in Skagerrak, meaning "the strait", the sea area between the South East coast of Norway, the Skagen Peninsula in Denmark and the west coast of Bohuslän in Sweden. Skagerrak is one of the busiest strait in the world for sea traffic nowadays. Its control has been of much strategic importance during the two World wars in Europe.

Koster is a Marine National Park located close to the border between Sweden and Norway. In Koster, we are only 65 nautical miles of Oslo compared with 88 nm from Göteborg. By chance, arriving late in the afternoon, we still find a place for mooring in a very shallow part of Korshamn, on the North-East part of the South-Koster island. One metre forty, not a problem for an OVNI, to the amazement of surrounding Lilliput boats.

Biking on Kloster is a ride in a very interesting post glacial landscape, full of sandy beaches, blooming gardens, and eroded rocks.
