Kristiansø, 7 & 8 July 2017

Kristiansø is a tiny Danish Island south-west of Utklippan, on the way to Bornholm. At this time of the year, the small sound where one can get shelter is quite packed with three to four rows of boats moored alongside.

Krisitansø sound.
Certainly a must in Southern Baltic!

The Swedish pilot indicates that you have mooring slots on both sides of the footpath bridge, but this is not the case. You can only moor on the southern part of the sound, which requires that you go around the island when coming from Utklippan.

There is an automat on the jetty where you can pay the 230 Danish Kr. for the night. Just like for a car. You can see its blue screen on the small dark house on the left of the picture.
Kristiansø is completely preserved, well maintained and a real pleasure for a few hours stopover. The passenger ferries bringing visitors for day trip are making it back by 17:00, leaving the two islands to the few dozen people having made it by boat.

  1. It's not a pearl but THE pearl of the Baltic.
Only for you, don't repeat: there is a place only for Ovni (or small draft) at the end of the south quay (left we you arrive) .When we were 3 years before, ther was a very long electric wire for us. alongside, and with a buoy on the back .
