Today we leave Kroton for Leuca, the heel of the Italian boot. It is a 75 mile ride through the Gulf of Tarente. Beautiful weather and favourable winds allow us to launch Code Zero for the first time this year. But not for long as the wind picks up to 20 knots.
There are three gas extraction platforms in the area of Kroton, which you should be aware of when travelling around.
After 13 hours of sailing across the Gulf of Tarente, we arrive in Leuca for the night, anchored in the Avant Port.
Lots of music for now, this is a hot spot... Not for us though as we need to depart early tomorrow morning to avoid strong head winds and currents against us on our way to Brindisi. But a lot of activity in the kitchen as we anchored fro the night!
This is the track so far from Toulon at the beginning of May, until now, on 1st of June. Overall, we have sailed so far 923 nautical miles, being around 1700km. More to come in any way!
