Smådalarö, 8 & 9 September

Smådalarö Gård is an hotel located at the entrance of the fjord heading towards Saltsjöbaden, in a bay protected from all winds with a very shallow entrance.

The southern winds are bringing warm air and the weekend is most pleasant. We will just fail short from bathing.

Despite the very dry summer, a short hike in the nearby forest brings a few mushroom that will make our starter in the evening.

a Lepiota and a few Boletus and Boletus-like mushrooms
A couple of 18 feet Goodall C2 catamarans in a match race as we pass along the Saltsjöbaden sailing club.

While the goodall are traditional competition catamaran, we are soon caught in dealing with two foiling Nacra 17 cats, very impressive in this protected bay with light winds (6 m/s).

Finally, a foiling moth flying by... The speed record for a foiling moth is 31 knots!
