Svenska Högarna, Stora Massa, Bockö, 10-20 August 2018
Nice weather but strong winds up to 14 m/s for this August weekend. As we have friends onboard, we decide to cover a large area, through opens to Svenska Högarna, the northern archipelago in Stora Nassa, and then in Bockö, before heading back to Stockholm. Besides, this is the open lighthouse weekend and we plan to visit the lighthouse in Svenska Högarna.

We will not find a place on the small dock in Svenska Högarna. We moor on the Svenskakryssarklubb buoy. However, with winds getting stronger at night, we decide to move to a better location as the SXK buoys are not supposed to be used by boats more than 5 tons. Note the anchor sail, which is more effective with such strong winds.

After an horrible night, we get towards the south west and stop in Stora Nassa for the afternoon. Fantastic landscape in this well protected archipelago. We go "on the rocks" with Belisama.

Late afternoon, we move to Bockö

The entrance in the bay is indicated on the chart plotter as being 1.8 meters deep. We will go trough it with indications of 1.2 metre.
Que de souvenirs! Stora Nassa où j'ai failli devoir appeler les secours...
