A nice ride back to Utklippan - 26 July 2017

From Sölvesborg, a good lateral wind brings us quite rapidly along the 42 miles to Utklippan. For the first time in a week, we see some sun getting through the clouds.

Riding east, along Björke-Nabben, towards Hanö and Utklippan.

After a week of continuous gale warning, we reach Utklippan deserted by boats, with just a few stranded there for couple of days already. The winds cool down during the night as the clouds vanish. Utklippan always at its best!

A sixth boats enters the basin in the morning.

As always, few minutes after any boat enters the harbour, the harbour master puts up the ships' flag on the mast. Currently, a Czech boat (yellow on the picture above), a german, a French and the rest Swedish. The Slovak flag to honour our Slovak crew member.

Lot of birds still at this time of the summer.

And lot of seals as well. This is the same colony as the one we saw on our way south (see here)
