A midsummer weekend, 21 - 25 June

A midsummer eve in little Huvudskär. Almost alone, most probably due to the Euro cup taking place, with Zlatan and the Swedish team playing. I wish the Euro cup would take place every year!

After a night in Nynäshamn to get Kaja on board, we continue to Öja, to moore at the jetty in the small harbour of Norrhamn. Fantastic weather and very few people around. Belisama is not affected by the swell bouncing back on the jetty despite south western winds. Note that the trinquette is not properly furled because the knot on the fall has given up! I will have to climb to the mast...

Philippe is bak at sea for the season. Upon returning, he will prepare his Biloup 26 for summer cruises in South Britany. Quite amazing for him to experience sun and heat in the Baltic while the weather is really bad in Britany and Normandy, with huge thunderstorms.

This is the small east harbour on Landsort where the ferry comes everyday, all year long. Note the alignments to enter the small bassin where the colourful motorboats seem airborne.
Landsort, österhamn
Once a set of summer shelters for fishermen, now cozy cabanes for enjoying the summer.

Another look at Västerhamn on Öja.

Never getting tired of the lighthouse.
