From Pampas to Vasahamnen - First move for the season

Today is the big day, awaited all along the freezing winter, the first day that we release the mooring lines for the season. As a sign, my coffee welcomes me with an apparition.

Belisama got finally cleaned, inside and outside, and is now ready for the launch. Below is a panoramic view of the carré, with all the new enhancement up and running. Note the painting on the right, showing Kaja's view of La Malouine, with tail wind in the archipelago. The painting next to the furnace is another representation of La Malouine, painted by a Latvian painter in Liepaja, which took me several years to trace back.

Belisama spends the night before the launch in the cradle of the crane. Obviously comfortable, and not requiring any mooring lines.

The temperature on Saturday is 5°C in the morning, raising to 8 in the afternoon, with a freezing wind. We have to go through two bridge openings, and one lock, just enough to get back the boat in hands. Quite a bit of traffic at this time of the year, after the boats are put back to water, and use the following weekend to get to their summer home port, just like us.

Danviksbro opening, to let us get out of the Mälaren to the Baltic sea
By six o'clock, we make it to Vasahamnen, close to Cybèle, thanks to François and Valérie!
