Special encounters on the way to Audierne, 22-23 August

On 22, on the way to Port Manech, Belmisama met with MACIF, the new tri-hull racing yacht of François Gabart that was launched on 19 August 2015. There was not enough wind to sustain Belisama spinnaker, but MACIF came by at an amazing speed given the absence of wind, turned around us, before heading back to Lorient.

Few hours later, we met Sea Cloud II, an incredible three mast barque constructed in the 1990's for luxury cruises.

With such famous Godmothers for Belisama, she will certainly be fast and luxurious. Judge on the video!

Gale announced for tonight. Belisama managed to get sheltered in Audierne without going aground, with very strong lateral winds, at the lowest tide... The First 39 just ahead of us did not have that chance!
