Early autumn cruises, 9-11 September

With the autumn are coming the longer darker nights. Around the equinox, days are shortening very fast, loosing almost one hour  per week! Then we start seing again the stars in the sky and eve the milky way!

Muskö, Saturday night
Muskö is famous for its submarine (don't miss reading Mankell's "Troubled man") and for its mushrooms...
On our way, we will come across more boats in one day than in any given week of the summer!

X boats racing in Saltjöbaden
We witness an interesting shadow appearing under a contrail.
We arrive at the dock in Muskö late afternoon. The back buoy will not survive the weekend, and we will have to make an emergency departure on Sunday afternoon when it will give up!

Amazing encounter with a Pen Duick 600 on the dock. She looks in very god shape. The constructor is Le Guen-Hemidy, the same who built La Malouine, and all the Brises de mer.In short, this one is 6 meter aluminium sloop. Le Guen-Hemidy constructed 350 of these boats in 1976 and 1977. There is no agreement whether this was a great success or a great failure. We will be told that this one came long ago on a trailer from Switzerland. Amazing.

And the rest of the Sunday was devoted to picking mushrooms now that the season has finally started.  This time, we got more variety...

Boletus, as usual
Macrolepiota procera, alias parasol mushroom, already shown last week.
Lactarius deliciosus, alias saffron milk cap, which bleeds red when cutting the stem.
The classical chanterelle.
The sheep foot or sweet tooth, very safe as no other mushrooms have such spikes.
Additional Amanita mascara, toxic, but looking so incredible, presented in last post.
At the end of the day, the catch on the cockpit table.
First weekend with the fuel heating on.
