7 & 8 November - Preparing for landing

Belisama lost her main sail today. Quite an adventure as this is her first time and it takes a bit of time understanding how things are fitted.

In Pampas marina, boats are lining-up for being taken on land. This 5.5 meter Fin-duck is a creation of Modultech. With its outboard 15 hp engine, fireplace, sauna, shower, toilet, kitchen and fridge, it is the ultimate comfort in lakes or inner archipelago, directly imported from a novel of Arto Paasilinna.

When you can no longer be at sea in Stockholm, you can still be along the sea! The days are getting very short, with the sun setting before 16:00 currently. Still early in November, but you can see on the picture below that the big christmas tree has started being assembled along Skeppsbron. This Christmas tree is said to be the tallest in the world!

Christmas tree at Skeppsbron.
Nice exhibitions, as usual at Fotografiska, in particular "Untold stories" by Nygårds Karin Bengtsson.

A heron at the lock.
The Birka cruise ship at Stadsgårdsterminalen. Daily roundtrip to Åland, very famous for buying tax-free products.

Cybele has found her place for wintering in Vasahamnen.
