Back to Sweden after having brought Belisama to Nynäshamn, I brought back La Malouine from Löparö where she had been for the summer to the good care of Johan and Suzanne. Very strong wind on Friday afternoon, with one tree in Tomteboda being turned down. However, the night was quiet, and I started the journey on Saturday morning.
Sixty-five nautical miles in solo cruise...
La Malouine looks very small after the 5 weeks spent on Belisama. Everything seems easy! Not much wind and straight in the nose, requiring the engine for quite a long segment! Interestingly, there were numerous boats sailing on Saturday. Two boats with spinnaker on the same picture, is something not occurring often in normal circumstances...
I spent the night in Södertälje, a city that appears much currently in the Swedish and French newspaper as it is the city welcoming most of the migrant workers in Sweden,
the country in Europe that welcomes the most migrants in relation to its population. It is nicknamed locally the "little Mesopotamia".

In the Himmerfjärden, going southward from Södertälje to the open sea, you come across the tankers as above, or rigless boats heading back to their winter quarters in some open fields by the water.

Nice encounter along Himmerfjärden |
Below is the island of Käringholmen, which would translate as "crone island". The cormorans have deserted the island after the waning in July. However, in June every year, hundreds of cormoran nests are found in such islands. The ground is white because of their dejections.

More to the south, I can spot large gathering of turkeys preparing for their seasonal migration to the south...
