Weekend in Öja - 23 & 24 May 2015

This is the first sailing of the season on La Malouine, from Rangsta Brygga to Öja, for a nice 15 miles in this sunny Saturday afternoon, under spinnaker.

Smooth run to Norra Hamn on Öja, reached by 18:00.

Sunday morning, breakfast under the sun. Goldberg's variations. A plane crosses the horizon, drawing a long cirrus aviaticus contrail across the sky. Within 30 minutes, the cirrus aviaticus transforms progressively in a cirrus uncinus under the effect of the jet streams currently passing right over our heads and extended surfusion related to the humidity in the high atmosphere. Within a few hours, a clear blue morning sky was covered by man-made cirruses...

Few hours later, milky clouds were covering most of the sky!

Last week of May, most flowers have bloomed already, even though lilies are still rare.

The sunny trail attracts the adders. We will see two on the four kilometre trail running north-south.
