Norra Hamn, Öja - 58°46.144'N 17°51.502'E

Norrhamn on Öja, is a small guest harbour well protected from winds, except from north-west. The pier on the right when entering Norrhamn is subject to swell, especially when the small ferry passes by. Öja is the southern most island of the Stockholm archipelago, and its western limit. Landsort, at the southern part of the island hosts the oldest pilot station in Sweden.

Öja is a fantastic stop overnight. You can rent bikes at the harbour and go south on the only dirt road of the island. The island was closed to public until the 70's and to foreigners until the 80's. There are still several guns around the island, including an anti-atomic shelter. A small railway line was in operation on the island to distribute the ammunition to the various batteries.

Nowadays, Öja is a natural reservation for birds, being the first land when flying from the south. In June, the Island is covered with lilies.
