We arrive in Oulu after a 50 nautical mile crossing with most pleasant back side winds. We find a spot alongside in 1.3 metre of water, thanks to the centre board.

There are only two other "visiting" boats in the marina for what should be the peak of the season. In fact, over the past two weeks, we hardly saw more than one or two boats every day!

With 200,000 inhabitants, Oulu is the largest city in North Scandinavia. The Oulu water front has been nicely restored.

We drop one crew member catching a flight back to Vienna through Helsinki, shop for the coming week that will bing us though Vaasa through small islands and refill the boat with water. Note that there is no public transport for the airport on Sunday morning and that there is no marine gas station in Oulu!
