Wintering in Wasahamnen - 10 November

Finally, mid-November, we place Belisama in her winter quarters in the centre of Stockholm, alongside the quay where the new Viking museum is located...

The newly established Viking museum is a good surprise. As usual, it is the paradise for kids that can touch everything and experience what it was to live during the Viking age. There are lots of explanations and if you are curious about the vikings, you can spend a few hours in the museum.

There are lots of reference to the Viking HBO series, indicating what is historically correct and what has been fantasised by the producer. Very informative indeed.

Finally, the dull, not so cold, wet autumn has remained until end of November a fantastic year for mushroom picking. Lately, the Yellowfoot chanterelle is growing in large quantities, requiring us to dry large quantities every week! Note that dried Yellowfoot chanterelles are even tastier than the fresh one.
