Steninge palace situated in a park on the bank of the Mälaren. The palace itself cannot be visited but the park is opened to visitors. The architect that built the palace is the same as the one who conceived Drottningholm in Stockholm.
The clock tower is still working, giving precise time.

Steninge is mostly famous for its shopping mini mall established in the old barn. It is particularly busy as a Christmas market place where people will come from the whole Stockholm area.
The restaurant is renowned as well, in particular for Sunday brunch, followed by shopping. Very POSH indeed.
There is a marina indicated on the map of the area displayed at the entrance of the castle estate.
But a visit to the marina will show that it is a private boat club where we could not find a visitor berth...
