En route for Strängnäs - 16-18 September

We have an exceptional month of September. Warm and dry, very appropriate for sailing. With no new rain in past two weeks, we could not find mushrooms this weekend. We went from Nynäshamn to Strängnäs, through Södertälje, entering in the Mälaren. Very god practice through bridges and locks!

Setting full moon at the rising sun, Södetrtälje.
There are still a few boats out there. We stop in Arkholmen, a naturhamn cared for by Rangsta boat club, to which I use to  belong with La Malouine. But no old friends at the place.

Belisama, "à la suédoise" in Arkholmen, as per "le cours des glénans".
Few seals on the way.

Heavy traffic in the Himmelfjärd heading to Södertälje, the Stockholm southern harbour.

Scary encounters in the Södertälje canal
Opening of the Södertälje bridge.
Strängnäs bridge, opening every hour until mid-October
Two hydroplanes coming to greet us on the way.
An autogire. How can this fly?
A flying gummy boat!
Unbelievable! Flying the tender, I will think about it as a winter project!
A sun dog over Strängnäs mill, one of the most striking sun dogs we ever saw!
Late arrival in the deserted marina of Strängnäs.
Moored for the week.
