More meteors on the way to Öja - 22/25 August 2016

Fog bow
A fog bow to start the trip, on the way to Huvudskär. Second one that I ever saw. Fogbows are rainbow in the fog rather than in the rain. The droplets are so small that they do not decompose he sun light in primary colors, but rather result in a white arc. Interestingly, their diameter is usually smaller (around 35°) than for rainbows (42°). Note the probable anticrepuscular ray pointing up-right.
We make it to Huvudskär for the fourth time this year, and probably not the last one.
Huvudskär
A new generation of pilots steering Belisama through the islands.
2016 is a year with wasps, and with snakes. We will see three of them in a short walk on the main island of Huvudskär!

The following day, in Öja, we meet Clémael, an OVNI 445 recently arrived from France, and having fallen in love with the Stockholm archipelago. The two ladies have lots of stories to exchange...

After an early summer in the Högakusten, we feel happy to be back in a Lilliput village, Landsort. We arrive as the pilot is on her way to retrieve the pilot of a huge cruising ship getting off the archipelago.

Finally, a nice sun dog for the barbecue at the end of the day.
