Fejan - 59°44.639'N 19°10.016'E

Fejan is situated at the entrance of the Stockholm Archipelago, along the pathway for the cruise ships. It was used as the quarantine station during the 19th century, at the time of the cholera pandemics.

 

From Stockholm to Nynäshamn - 19 - 21 June 2015

With friends and family on board, mid-sommer saw us cruising from Stockholm to Artipelag, to Saltsjöbaden on Friday. From Satlsjöbaden to Utö on Saturday, and from Utö to Nynäshamn, through Nåttarö.

Encounters in Les Sables d'Olonne

The Sables d'Olonne will be the port of registration of Belisama. Visiting this weekend the Alubat workshop to monitor progress on the building of Belisama, I had a chance to wander around the harbour to meet a few known boats...

On Friday 5 June, I visited the Alubat workshop to finalise the options that will be fitted on Belisama. The hull has now been assembled and the prime layer of paint on the deck and under the hull. We are still aiming at a water launching by last week of July.

Gotska Sandön - 58°24.254'N 19°13.400'E

Gotska Sandön is located between Fårö and Huvudskär. No shelter on this sandy island, therefore one should check carefully the weather forecast. I have experienced there the strongest storm in my life, unannounced...

Ringsön - 58°44.382'N 17°26.041'E

Ringsön is a very beautiful natural harbour on the way from Landsort, Öja, to Oxelösund. One can always find there a place protected from the winds.
